"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince Due In November" - See Plot And Watch Director Comments

Details are starting to flow in about the next Harry Potter Movie.

"We're opening with a big attack," director David Yates told Empire when we visited the set. "It's talked about in the book, but we're going to show it. We'll bring a major London landmark crashing down. It should be quite spectacular".

In an interview with Empire magazine on his upcoming film, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," star Daniel Radcliffe compared aspects of the movie to the 1996 heroin drama "Trainspotting."

"There's a fair amount of sexual energy and there are some drug parallels," Radcliffe told Empire. "We have a couple of what David Yates, the director, calls our 'Trainspotting moments.' That's two films I never thought would be mentioned in the same breath."

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," is due for a November 21, 2008 release via Warner Bros has recently finished filming.

Harry Potter's sixth year at Hogwarts turns out to be quite an exciting year. First off is the arrival of a new teacher at Hogwarts, Horace Slughorn, who is a bit more useful to Harry Potter than he realizes. Next, Harry obtains a Potions book, which used to belong to the very mysterious Half-Blood Prince.

Harry finds that the Half-Blood Prince's ancient scribbles are written along the margins of almost every page, giving Harry advice on how to improve greatly on his Potions work, and teaching him a few helpful and dangerous new spells.

Amidst this, Harry is starting private lessons with Professor Dumbledore, where he learns the dark secrets of Voldemort's past, hoping that he can use these secrets to defeat him.

Harry's year gets even more stressful with the suspicious actions of Draco Malfoy, who has been sneaking around the school doing Voldemort's bidding. Harry quickly becomes determined, and slightly obsessed, to find out exactly what Malfoy is up to and putting and end to it.

Yet, during the movie, Harry and his friends go through daily life, busy with school work, Quidditch, which Harry is now captain of the team, and of course, romance.

Ron Weasley has found a new girlfriend, Lavender Brown, a perky if not obnoxious Gryffindor student, and Hermione is not happy about it. Ron and Hermione's (Emma Watson) friendship takes a toll throughout the school year and Harry, as usual, is stuck in the middle.

Harry, meanwhile, is facing a romantic dilemma of his own: he realizes he is falling for his best friend's sister, Ginny Weasley, who is unfortunately dating Harry's classmate, Dean Thomas. Harry's pining for Ginny, and Ron's hilarious relationship with Lavender give this story a large dose of reality.

Throughout all the school year, however, the obvious darkness of Voldemort's impending rise to power is always apparent. The incredible action-packed climax is sure to leave the audience stunned and, inevitably, prove that you shouldn't trust everybody who you think is good and also prove that not everyone can manage to survive.

"Harry Potter Theme Park" At Universal Studios - Watch Announcement And See Details Here!

Universal Studios Florida is reportedly finalizing details to bring a "Harry Potter World" to the Orlando Florida family of theme parks, according to Nikki Finke.

Harry Potter World would most likely be part of the studio's Islands of Adventure attraction. Disney attempted to ink a deal with JK Rowling a few years back for a Singapore based theme park but the project never happened.

Since the deal is not yet finalized, no details are available at this time. But we can only imagine that the theme park area would be fully equipped with Harry Potter themed attractions similar to the movies and video games.

Possibly with a Hogwarts Express monorail type transport which would bring you to the Wizards Castle as seen in movies.

There would have to be restaurants, like the Leaky Cauldron Pub, and you could buy all sorts of toys and Potter memorabilia in Diagon Alley. One can only imagine a Quidditch themed attraction or ride.

You know there would be your favorite characters walking around taking pictures. It could really be a smash hit.

Harry Potter Prequel Story To Be Sold At Auction

Harry Potter creator J.K. Rowling has written a prequel to her series of best-selling books - telling the story of what happened before the first novel "Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone" was released in 1997.

The Harry Potter prequel comes more then a year after Rowling published the seventh and final episode of the story, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", which was released in 2007. The highly successful franchise starred the young Daniel Radcliffe as Harry.

Unfortunately, the new (old) story is not available for publication; it will be sold at auction next month to raise money for charity.

We still are not counting out a future prequel movie at some point. There seems to be a saying in Hollywood, "If you've got something good, keep it going…"

Teen Actor In Upcoming 'Harry Potter' Film Rob Knox Killed - Stabbed Outside Bar

A British teenage actor playing a minor role in the upcoming "Harry Potter" film was stabbed to death during a brawl in London on Saturday, police said.

Rob Knox, 18, was stabbed after he got caught up in a fight outside a bar in southwest London early Saturday, London's Metropolitan Police said in a statement.

Knox plays Ravenclaw student Marcus Belby in the upcoming film "Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince," the sixth installment of the popular series set for release in November.

Warner Bros., the studio that is producing the film, said it was shocked by the news.

Knox was one of five young men taken to various hospitals after the brawl, police said. Among them was a 21-year-old who has since been arrested on suspicion of murder.

The fight did not appear to be gang-related, police added, but it puts the number of violent teenage deaths in London at 14 so far this year.

Final 'Harry Potter' book will be split into two movies...

Warner Bros. Pictures and the producers behind the $4.5-billion film franchise featuring the beloved boy wizard will split the seventh and final novel in the J.K. Rowling series into two films.

"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I" will hit theaters in November 2010, followed by "Part II" in May 2011, a decision that is being met around the world with fans' cheers but also plenty of cynical smirks. The publishing industry is learning to live without new "Potter" releases, but Hollywood just pulled off a trick that will keep its profitable hero on his broom into the next decade.

Daniel Radcliffe, the star of the franchise, said it was the dense action of the final novel that made the decision, not any executive or ledger.

Extending the "Potter" franchise is a boon to the studio and to its parent, media giant Time Warner, where recently named Chief Executive Jeffrey Bewkes is reining in costs with moves such as the recent gutting of New Line Cinema. Time Warner's stock price has stagnated since its merger with America Online eight years ago.

Right now, Radcliffe and his costars are filming the sixth installment in the franchise, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince," at an old aircraft factory outside London. "It's been brilliant," Radcliffe said of the production. "It's also, I think, the funniest of the films so far."
