Zac Efron And Vanessa Hudgens Are Truly In Love - Both Back To Work After Vacation

After finishing up the filming of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year" last month, Disney teen couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens were able to jet off for a short vacation in the Turks & Caicos Islands. But since returning home, the two have been all business.

Last week, Vanessa was seen being whisked away to a studio in a limo where she was hard at work shooting the Intelligentsia Coffee brand's new ad campaign. Efron was seen in New York doing various press interviews and taking other "work related" meetings.

When Hudgens was asked how serious the couple's relationship was she got right to the point and said she is in love with her "High School Musical" co-star.

"Zac and I are more in love than ever. It's fun to work with him. He's really sweet, and singing all of songs is always a blast."

The actress dismissed the possibility of appearing in another "High School Musical" movie now that the cast members have reached college age.

"Not for us,' Hudgens told reporters. "We're pretty much done, I think."

When asked about all of her boyfriend's fan attention she insisted that she does not get jealous of Zac's female fans.

The actress, who has been dating her "High School Musical" co-star since August last year, revealed that she often joins in with his screaming supporters. Hudgens also admitted that she has received her fair share of attention since she first appeared as Gabriella Montez in the movies.

"It's all good with Zac. I don't get jealous - not at all - when Zac gets loads of attention," Vanessa explained. "I do, too. And I don't mind if girls scream at him - I like to scream along too."

Following a short trip out to the east coast, Efron has finished up his New York City press duties and has made his way back home to Los Angeles.

The actor was spotted arriving at LAX International Airport last week with his hands full of luggage and a skateboard. At one point, Efron exclaimed, "When did I get so popular?!" as he made his way through the terminal.

And waiting for Efron like a faithful and loving girlfriend was his sweetheart Vanessa Hudgens, who picked him up and whisked him away.

Watch The New "High School Musical 3" Movie Trailer

But with the latest "High School Musical" completed and scheduled for release in October, and the smash hit franchise behind them, what is the young couple in love to for spending money? Never fear.

Efron will be seen again next February in the comedy "Seventeen Again" with Michelle Trachtenberg and Matthew Perry. The film is about a guy whose life didn't quite turn out how he wanted it to and wishes he could go back to high school and change it. He wakes up one day and is seventeen again and gets the chance to rewrite his life.

After that, Efron will star with Claire Danes in the dramatic "Me And Orson Wells", about a teenager who is cast in the Mercury Theatre production of "Julius Caesar" directed by a young Orson Welles in 1937.

Vanessa Hudgens will reappear next year working with Lisa Kudrow in the musical comedy "Rock On", where a high school outcast's bond with a popular girl over their shared love of music results in them assembling a rock group that looks to win their school's upcoming battle of the bands competition.

Ah, to be young and in love in Hollywood!

"The Day The Earth Stood Still" - Plot Update And New Movie Trailer

As the first wave of the summer blockbusters starts to dry up, everybody is setting their sites on the fall line-up. One film starting to get some buzz is director Scott Derrickson's "The Day The Earth Stood Still"

This update is a remake of the 1951 classic science fiction film about an alien visitor and his giant robot counterpart who visit Earth.

Starring Keanu Reeves as Klaatu, Jennifer Connelly as Helen, and John Cleese as Dr. Barnhardt, we notice one important departure from the original 1951 version - Where's Gort? None of the sources we have seen, including IMDB, have a cast member for the robot. What gives?

The giant robot did play a critical role in the plot of the original movie:

A flying saucer orbits the 1950s Earth and lands in Washington, DC on the Mall. The lone occupant steps out and is shot by a jumpy soldier. Gort, a large and very powerful robot appears to save him and is able to melt tanks with the slightest bit of his power.

The wounded alien orders Gort to stop his rampage and is taken to a hospital from which he escapes in order to learn more about this planet, even moving in as a boarder with an Earth family. When they begin to suspect him, he reveals himself, along with the news that Gort is a member of a race of super-robot enforcers invented to keep the peace of the galaxy that will destroy the Earth if provoked.

According to sources, the 2008 remake of "The Day The Earth Stood Still" will be done a bit differently:

"The Gort robot character has not been cast at this time and will most likely be created using FX. The remake will remain true to the original movie, however there is a chance it will more likely remain true to the short story upon which the 1951 movie is based."

In either case the alien 'weaponry' seems to have been upgraded. In addition to a city going dark, and a very brief look at the new Gort, the new film trailer shows a cloud of black smoke, capable of rapid movement and disintegrating matter on contact.

In the 1951 movie, Gort is described as one of a race of robots created by the planets to maintain peace throughout the galaxy. If the 2008 remake follows the short story by Harry Bates, "Farewell to the Master" upon which the 1951 movie is based, it will be revealed at the end of the movie by Gort himself that he is the master, and not Klaatu.

"The Day The Earth Stood Still" will be released December 12, 2008.

In addition to "Earth", Keanu Reeves can be seen in 2009 in the dramatic "The Private Lives of Pippa Lee", starring alongside Winona Ryder - a story about what happens after her much older husband forces a move to a suburban retirement community, and Pippa Lee engages in a period of reflection and finds herself heading toward a quiet nervous breakdown.

Jennifer Connelly will also be seen this December 26 in the animated fantasy adventure "9" starring Elijah Wood and John C. Reilly, about a post-apocalyptic nightmare in which all of humanity is threatened.

Well, not if you're Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly!

The two actors are preparing to release their latest comedy movie "Step Brothers" on July 25. Directed by Adam McKay and scripted by Ferrell, the movie tells a funny tale of never wanting to grow up.

A perfect summer movie about two adults who have been spoiled and still live at home and meet when their parents get married. They initially hate each other but find out that they are not too different. They become best friends but their parents decide to kick them out unless they get jobs. The movie is about growing up and still being a kid.

Synopsis:

When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as stepbrothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together.

To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

"Step Brothers" was nominated, and won the Golden Trailer award for the best summer movie poster. Really? There is an award for movie posters?

Matt Damon Gains 30 Pounds For Role In "The Informant"

Matt Damon's wife Luciana may be pregnant, but it's his apparent extra weight that's making all the headlines in Hollywood.

"I think I lost my Sexiest Man Alive title," the actor joked to People Wednesday at the Ante Up For Africa poker event in Las Vegas.

But that's not water weight. Damon estimates that he has gained between 25 and 30 pounds in preparation for his upcoming movie thriller, "The Informant", directed by Steven Soderbergh.

"It wasn't necessarily that I needed to be fat," he said. "It was that I needed to be 'doughy.' "

The movie tells the story of when the U.S. government goes after an agriculture business tycoon with a price-fixing accusation based on the evidence submitted by their star witness - Vice President turned informant Mark Whitacre (Damon). The film is scheduled for release March 7, 2009.

Even though the weight-gain was required for a role, that doesn't stop Damon's friends from mocking him mercilessly.

"Some things are just self-evident and don't even require making fun of," his best friend Ben Affleck said. "I mean the man buys two seats on an airplane!"

So how did he manage to gain so much weight?

"I just stopped working out and basically just ate whatever I wanted," he said. "I ate a lot of In-N-Out, a lot of burgers, a lot of beer and basically had a great time ... When you're in your 20s you can do that kind of stuff. When you're in your 30s, its a whole different ballgame."

A much slimmer Matt Damon can be seen next year in the drama "Margaret" starring alongside Anna Paquin, and the war drama "Green Zone" with Greg Kinnear, a thriller about a pair of CIA agents who are on the trail of certain Weapons of Mass Destruction and a foreign correspondent who is following their mission.

"Journey To The Center Of The Earth" Due July 11 - Watch Trailer

Movie maker Eric Brevig has confessed a myth about a key scene in his upcoming "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" movie remake - that it was shot using a cheap "slip-and-slide" in a parking lot.

Thanks to clever film making and technology, movie fans will see Brendan Fraser drop down a huge waterfall in the film, when in fact the scene was shot at night in a parking lot.

Brevig reveals, "We couldn't afford to build an actual waterfall set so, out of desperation, we had a slip-and-slide built outside in the parking lot at night.

"It's basically a 50-foot table covered in black plastic with fire hoses shooting down at it, and we're dragging the actors with ropes attached to them by their feet.

The remake of the classic "Journey To The Center Of The Earth" stars Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson and Anita Briem and will be released on July 11.

Fraser plays a science professor whose radical theories have completely tarnished his reputation. While backpacking across Iceland with his nephew Sean (Josh Hutcherson), the two explorers and their mountain guide find a cave that leads them deep down into the bowels of the planet.

They discover a fantastic and dangerous lost world in the center of the earth with bizarre landscapes filled with terrifying creatures.

First James Bond "Quantum of Solace" Movie Trailer Released - Watch It Here

James Bond will be back at it on November 7 2008, but aside from all of the on set accidents and problems plaguing the production we really don't know a lot about it - until today.

The first movie trailer for the new film "Quantum Of Solace" featuring British secret agent James Bond appeared online today.

Starring Daniel Craig as Agent 007, the secret agent thriller tells the story of James Bond seeking revenge for the death of his lover when he sets out to stop an environmentalist from taking control of a country's water supply.

The Producers say the film's title was taken from one of the short stories by Ian Fleming penned back in the 1960's. Producer Michael G. Wilson promised more action than "Casino Royal", which marked the debut of Daniel Craig's role as the British spy.

The film shoot began in November at British Pinewood studios and has had nothing but problems - but things again appear to be proceeding on schedule.

In addition to his James Bond role, Daniel Craig can also be seen this December 12 in the war drama "Defiance", about three Jewish brothers who escape from Nazi-occupied Poland into the Belarussian forest where they join Russian resistance fighters and try to build a village in order to protect themselves and others in danger.

Next for Craig, and scheduled for release next year is "I, Lucifer", a fantasy comedy horror where the devil gets one last chance at redemption in the body of a suicidal writer. Based on Glen Duncan's bestseller.

"Green Hornet" Movie Update: Can Seth Rogen Pull It Off?

He's already the unlikeliest leading man in Hollywood, but are you ready for Seth Rogen Action Hero?

He is - as he prepares for his green tights-wearing close-up in "The Green Hornet" movie due for release in June of 2010.

But do his "Knocked Up" fans even know about the old comics or 1960's television series?

"When you say "The Green Hornet" to people, the first thing anyone says is, 'Hey, Bruce Lee played the sidekick Kato on that show,'" Rogen told reporters recently, while out promoting his latest movie "The Pineapple Express".

Everybody knows the sidekick but not the super hero.

To introduce the world to the "Green Hornet", Rogen wrote the script with his Superbad and Pineapple partner Evan Goldberg. Here's what they came up with:

"For years we'd actually been trying to write a movie that was kind of about a hero and his sidekick," Rogen said. "When we heard "The Green Hornet" movie was up for grabs, we thought that could be the most perfect way to do this story; he's the only hero whose sidekick is actually more known than he is."

Okay, we think he may be able to pull it off. But do we have to wait until 2010 to see Seth Rogen on the big-screen again? Of course not. In fact, Rogen has no less than six projects underway at this very moment.

First is the crime comedy "Pineapple Express" due this August about a stoner and his dealer who are forced to go on the run from the police after the pothead witnesses a cop commit a murder.

Next is the comedy "Fanboys" where "Star Wars" fans travel to Skywalker Ranch to steal an early copy of "Episode I: The Phantom Menace".

Rogen is currently filming the animated "Monsters vs Aliens" due in March next year and starring Rogen and Reese Witherspoon - a story about what happens when a meteorite from outer space hits a young girl and turns her into a giant monster and she is taken to a secret government compound where she meets a ragtag group of monsters also rounded up over the years.

Due in April 2009 is "Observe And Report" a comedy about a local mall security guard who feels unappreciated and wages war on the cops.

And finally, Rogen will team with Adam Sandler and uber director Judd Apatow in the comedy "Funny People" with production slated to begin later this year.

Pixar Ready To Open With "Wall-E" June 27 - Watch Trailer - Review

Pixar Animation has done it again. Fresh off the success of "Ratatouille" comes the animated family comedy "WALL-E" scheduled for release June 27, 2008.

Not many people have heard about it, and there has been little advertising for the film yet, but it is shaping up to be one of Pixar's best.

"WALL-E" has only one big name celebrity, Sigourney Weaver, instead of the usual ensemble casts of big-time Hollywood names. John Ratzenberger and Fred Willard provide additional character voices.

The movie revolves around an adorable little robot that becomes more human as the plot progresses.

The year is 2700. WALL*E, a robot, spends every day doing what he was made for. But soon, he discovers what he was meant for.

After hundreds of lonely years of flawless operation, WALL*E (short for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earth-Class) discovers a new purpose in life (besides collecting knick-knacks) when he meets a sleek search robot named EVE.

EVE comes to realize that WALL*E has inadvertently stumbled upon the key to the planet's future, and races back to space to report her findings to the humans who have been eagerly awaiting word that it is safe to return home.

Meanwhile, WALL*E chases EVE across the galaxy and sets an adventure into motion. Joining WALL*E on his journey across the universe is a cast of characters including a pet cockroach and a heroic team of malfunctioning misfit robots.

The Jonas Brothers And Disney's 'Camp Rock' A Smash Hit - Watch Music Video

Last weeks premiere of Disney Channel's made-for-television movie musical "Camp Rock" was cable television's most-watched entertainment program of the 2007-08 season, with 8.86 million viewers, thanks to overwhelming viewership among its targeted audience of children and young teens.

Nearly half of all children ages 6 to 14 who were watching television from 8:00-10:00 p.m. Friday were tuned to "Camp Rock," and nearly two-thirds of girls in that age category, according to figures released Tuesday by Nielsen Media Research.

The audience for the "Camp Rock" premiere was the second largest for a Disney Channel made-for-television movie, trailing only last summer's "High School Musical 2" with its audience grabbing Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale.

"Camp Rock" is the latest invention by Disney to capitalize on the young teen music euphoria caused by successes "Hannah Montana" and Miley Cyrus. The movie features the now famous "Jonas Brothers", a group of three brothers who write, sing and dance to their own original music.

The plot is standard summer teen angst movie fare with the oldest Jonas brother being sentenced to participate in a teen musical summer camp, and centers on a teen girl (Demi Lovato) who desperately wants to spend her summer at a prestigious rock camp, but can only attend if she works in the kitchen as one of the cooks.

When she's overheard singing - but not seen -- by a teen pop star (Joe Jonas) at the camp, he is completely taken and sets out to find the girl behind the beautiful voice. But first she must confront her fears, step out of the kitchen and into the spotlight.

We can see why the kids loved it. It is reminiscent of the "old" Disney ways of programming straight to the kids and bypassing mom and dad, and branding the whole evening as "The Wonderful World Of Disney". We all remember it, with Tinkerbell flying through at the end and waving her magical wand. We loved it then and the kids love it today.

Disney has added an additional marketing twist by offering not only "Camp Rock", but other titles as free streaming downloads from their website.

Related Story: Disney To Show Movies On Website For Free!

But get ready for a "Jonas Brothers" invasion as the trio wraps up filming on their very own television comedy series "J.O.N.A.S!" due in September.

The plot revolves around what looks like a typical teen rock boy band hoping to make it to the big time. They travel the country in their rickety tour bus, performing shows, selling homemade CDs and meeting fans.

What the fans don't know is that the Jonas Brothers are actually J.O.N.A.S. - Junior Operatives Networking as Spies - who, along with their secret agent dad, are under assignment from a super-secret government agency out to thwart evil.

"Wanted" With Angelina Jolie - Early Review And Extended Movie Trailer

Angelina Jolie dodges a bullet - and fires off a round too - in the action-packed, extended trailer for Wanted, her sexy, new action thriller.

Let's take a look at the movie - which costars James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman - and tells of a young man (McAvoy) who discovers that his father is an assassin. "Wanted" hits theaters on June 27.

"Wanted" tells the tale of one apathetic mans transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, we're introduced to a hero for a new generation: 25-year-old employed slacker, Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy). Wes is the most isolated, cube-dwelling, clock-punching drone this planet has ever known. His boss chews him out hourly, his girlfriend ignores him routinely, and his life plods on in interminable boredom and routine.

Everyone knows this detached slacker will amount to absolutely nothing, and so does he, until he meets the sexy, foxy woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie), and then everything changes. Wes' estranged father is murdered, and the deadly Fox recruits him into 'The Fraternity', a secret society that trains him to avenge his father's death, by unlocking his dormant powers.

And oh boy does he have powers, as she teaches Wes how to develop his lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, he discovers that The Fraternity lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: to carry out the death orders given by emotionless Fate itself.

Wes, with his wickedly brilliant and sexy tutor, plus the paternal guidance of The Fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman), young Wes grows to enjoy all the strength and success he ever wanted. But, slowly, he realizes there's more to his dangerous associates than meets the casual eye. And, as he wavers between new found heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him; that he alone controls his destiny.

Megan Fox Talks New 'Transformers' Movie And Kissing Shia LaBeouf

Megan Fox promises the second "Transformers" movie will be bigger than last summer's $300 million smash hit. Much bigger.

"As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts," Fox told MTV. "I can tell you that we're on locations in some really exotic places. It's just going to be a killer movie. It's just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film."

But director Michael Bay's trademark action sequences won't be the film's only fireworks.

"Shia Labeouf and I make out a little bit; I don't know if anyone wants to see that," she said.

"We've just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they're in," Fox said. "We've been having script meetings and we've been reworking the script because they wrote it fast because of the writer's strike."

"Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" is scheduled for a June 2009 release.

Shia LaBeouf can next be seen this September in the dramatic thriller "Eagle Eye" starring LaBeouf and Billy Bob Thornton, about a young slacker and a single mom who get tangled up in a terrorist cell plotting a political assassination.

Megan Fox will next be seen this October in the movie "Whore", about a group of young hopeful teenagers who have come to Hollywood in the hopes of an acting career, but find that the business is harder than they had ever imagined.

Keira Knightley Happy to Go Nude In New Movie "The Edge of Love"

Keira Knightley has no problem appearing nude in her latest film - in fact; she says it's becoming a habit.

"I always bare my breasts," she said at the press conference to promote "The Edge of Love" Wednesday at the Edinburgh International Film Festival. "It's not like it's only in this film!"

The British actress, 23, is best known for the "Pirates of the Caribbean" films starring with Johnny Depp. Last year, Knightley appeared nude in the romantic war drama "Atonement."

Talking about a love scene in "The Edge of Love" with her onscreen husband Cillian Murphy, Knightley said: "It was very simple. It was a sex scene and I never like them when they've got bras on. So when the director asked me to remove my bra, I said, all right then."

"The Edge of Love" was written by Sharman Macdonald, Knightley's mother, who says her celebrity daughter was the motivation for writing the period romance that also stars Sienna Miller and Matthew Rhys.

"Get Smart" Ready For June 20 Release - See Review - Watch Movie Trailer Here

Saving The World. And Loving It.

Mel Brooks believes that the movie update of his spy parody TV series "Get Smart" will appeal to modern audiences. Brooks described the film's leading man Steve Carell, taking over the role made famous by Don Adams in the '60s, as "brilliant".

Brooks said "To choose a guy who's right in the Don Adams groove, you couldn't get a better guy than Steve Carell. And yet he doesn't do Don Adams. He does none of his delivery. He just does Steve Carell." Brooks added that the spy comedy would appeal to contemporary audiences because it matches people's perceptions about intelligence agencies.

Plot:

Bungling secret agent Maxwell Smart (Steve Carell), also known as Agent 86 for CONTROL, is on a mission to battle the forces of their evil crime nemesis known as KAOS with his more-competent partner Agent 99 (Anne Hathaway), at his side. Bill Murray also has a role as Agent 13.

When the headquarters of U.S. spy agency Control is attacked and the identities of its agents compromised, the Chief has no choice but to promote his ever-eager analyst Maxwell Smart, who has always dreams of working in the field alongside stalwart superstar Agent 23.

Smart will do whatever it takes to thwart the latest plot for world domination by KAOS.

Written by Tom J. Astle and Matt Ember; Directed by Peter Segal. Release data: June 20, 2008. Rated PG-13 for some rude humor, action violence and language. Run time: 110 minutes.

Universal And Sacha Baron Cohen Set Release Date For "Bruno" Movie

Sacha Baron Cohen's "Bruno" movie is getting close to completion. Universal has announced that it will release the film on May 15, 2009.

Like Borat, the title character of the 2006 box office hit, Bruno is one of a three main characters created and played by Cohen in the television series "Da Ali G Show."

As Bruno, Cohen pretends be a flamboyant fashion and celebrity journalist from Austria who interviews unwitting members of the public who believe Bruno is a real person. In other words, it's a fake documentary.

Twentieth Century Fox's "Borat" was a box office smash hit, grossing $130 million domestically in an early November release.

Also opening that week is Sony's "The Da Vinci Code" sequel "Angels & Demons" starring Tom Hanks; a week later, on May 22, Warner Bros. Opens with "Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins" starring Christian Bale.

Also in May, Fox will release the family comedy "Night at the Museum II: Escape From the Smithsonian" with Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. The first "Night at the Museum," released over Christmas in 2006, grossed $251 million domestically and $323 million overseas.

Kate Beckinsale Wants Body Double On Movie Set…

Underworld's lead vampire Kate Beckinsale has reportedly demanded a body double for her new movie "Whiteout".

Kiefer Sutherland To Star In Horror Movie "Mirrors" - Watch New Trailer

Just when you thought Jack Bauer didn't have time for any more problems, he has decided to go and make a new movie.

Kiefer Sutherland will star in the Alexandre Aja horror movie "Mirrors" due in theaters August 15. The story revolves around a mall security guard who becomes wrapped up in a mystery involving a particular department store's mirrors that seem to bring out the worst in people.

Then his wife and kids start having strange things happen with the "Mirrors" in their house, and there are a few very creepy scenes in the new trailer released this week. Especially the scene with the little boy sitting in front of the mirror talking to his reflection - but when he moves away his reflection stays. Spooky.

"Mirrors" may well rank right up there with "Strangers" as far as horror movies go, and we seem to be having a resurgence of good movie making stuck in between the action hero movies that have dominated this summers flicks.

Stuntman Dies In Fire On John Woo's Movie "Red Cliff" - Watch Trailer

A stunt man filming John Woo's new thriller movie in Beijing was killed in a bizarre fire when a small boat rammed into the set of an ancient warship, state media said on Tuesday.

At least three people were injured in the accident during the shooting of the battle epic movie "Red Cliff."

"The fire broke out early Monday morning when the crew were shooting a scene in which a small, smoking boat crashed with a large ancient war vessel," Xinhua news agency said.

At the point of collision, when technicians let out smoke, an uncontrolled flame leaped 100 feet into the air, the Beijing News said, citing crewmembers at the northern Beijing location.

Woo, director of such movie hits as "Face/Off" starring John Travolta and Nicolas Cage, and "Mission Impossible II" starring Tom Cruise, was in Hong Kong at the time of the accident.

The film, adapted from China's classic novel "Romance of the Three Kingdoms," is set in 208 AD in the dying days of the Han dynasty, ending in the battle of "Red Cliff" where 2,000 ships were burned and destroyed.

It stars Hong Kong's Tony Leung, the Chinese mainland's Zhang Fengyi and Takeshi Kaneshiro, whose father is from Japan and mother is from Taiwan.
