"Wanted" With Angelina Jolie - Early Review And Extended Movie Trailer

Angelina Jolie dodges a bullet - and fires off a round too - in the action-packed, extended trailer for Wanted, her sexy, new action thriller.

Let's take a look at the movie - which costars James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman - and tells of a young man (McAvoy) who discovers that his father is an assassin. "Wanted" hits theaters on June 27.

"Wanted" tells the tale of one apathetic mans transformation into an unparalleled enforcer of justice. In 2008, we're introduced to a hero for a new generation: 25-year-old employed slacker, Wesley Gibson (James McAvoy). Wes is the most isolated, cube-dwelling, clock-punching drone this planet has ever known. His boss chews him out hourly, his girlfriend ignores him routinely, and his life plods on in interminable boredom and routine.

Everyone knows this detached slacker will amount to absolutely nothing, and so does he, until he meets the sexy, foxy woman named Fox (Angelina Jolie), and then everything changes. Wes' estranged father is murdered, and the deadly Fox recruits him into 'The Fraternity', a secret society that trains him to avenge his father's death, by unlocking his dormant powers.

And oh boy does he have powers, as she teaches Wes how to develop his lightning-quick reflexes and phenomenal agility, he discovers that The Fraternity lives by an ancient, unbreakable code: to carry out the death orders given by emotionless Fate itself.

Wes, with his wickedly brilliant and sexy tutor, plus the paternal guidance of The Fraternity's enigmatic leader, Sloan (Morgan Freeman), young Wes grows to enjoy all the strength and success he ever wanted. But, slowly, he realizes there's more to his dangerous associates than meets the casual eye. And, as he wavers between new found heroism and vengeance, Wes will come to learn what no one can ever teach him; that he alone controls his destiny.

"Bucket List" With Jack Nicholson And Morgan Freeman Now On DVD - Watch Trailer

Aging womanizer Jack Nicholson is desperate to have one last sexual fling before he dies - despite already bedding more that 2,000 women. The 71-year-old added the feat to a list of things he hopes to achieve following his role in the movie "The Bucket List." For those that missed it, never fear - it is now available on DVD.

In the movie, Nicholson plays an aging billionaire who makes a list of the things he wants to do before he passes away.

Edward Cole (Jack Nicholson) has worked hard his whole life to build his hospital corporation into a Fortune 500 company. As CEO, Edward is on top of the world when cancer comes knocking on his door. In the hospital, Edward is put into a room with another cancer patient, Carter Chambers (Morgan Freeman).

The doctors have given both the news that they have six-months to a year to live. Carter just blocks out the bad news and continues watching Jeopardy on TV, because he knows all the answers. When Carter was young, he was able to attend the first year of college, but when his wife got pregnant, Carter found work as an automobile mechanic.

Carter remembers that in one of his classes the professor gave them an assignment to fill out a Bucket List of the things you want to do in life before you kick the bucket. Carter starts writing his list of things to do. Edward sees the list and writes some other things to do like skydiving and racecar driving. They both decide to leave the hospital and embark on fulfilling all the things on the "Bucket List."

Is Jack excited about the DVD release? A little. The evening before the release party he spent with daughter Lorraine Nicholson at game three of the 2008 NBA Finals between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Boston Celtics.

Adam Sandler Finishing Up Movie "Bedtime Stories"

After working out for seven months to play commando Zohan, Adam Sandler is preparing to flex an entirely different set of muscles.

The "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" star is finishing work on "Bedtime Stories" - a special-effects-heavy family fantasy due this Christmas from Disney.

Sandler won't say too much about that production -- "We haven't finished it yet, " he said during a recent press conference - but both "Bedtime Stories" and the new Judd Apatow movie just announced, may indicate the 41-year-old Sandler is trying to expand his range beyond the safe zone of "Click" and "Big Daddy."

As he told journalists, "The best thing about producing is I get the studio to lend Rob Schneider money."

Directed by Adam Shankman, "Bedtime Stories" is a family comedy, and tells the story of a hotel handyman (Adam Sandler) whose life changes when the lavish bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to magically come true. Surprisingly, no movie trailer has been released yet.

"Bedtime Stories" stars Guy Pearce, Russell Brand, Teresa Palmer, Richard Griffiths, Lucy Lawless, Courtney Cox, Adam Sandler and Keri Russell, and is scheduled for release on Christmas Day 2008.

Mark Wahlberg In "The Happening" - Review And Movie Trailer

Mark Wahlberg will hit the big-screen this Friday in the dramatic sci-fi movie "The Happening" - written and directed by M. Night Shyamalan.

The film is a paranoid horror thriller about a family on the run from a natural crisis that presents a large-scale threat to humanity.

Elliot Moore is a science teacher whose interests lie in unexplained phenomena. When an unknown threat to humanity starts killing thousands, he and his family go on the run to not only protect themselves, but also to find answers as to why this is happening.

It turns out they are running from the horrific release of a neurotoxin by plants - and the movie shows the tragic and horrific results.

When this toxin is inhaled, the victim attempts suicide by very violent, and graphic means. The central character, a science teacher named Elliot Moore (Mark Wahlberg), runs for his life together with his estranged wife, Alma Moore (Zooey Deschanel), in order to survive while the world goes into a violent whirlwind of self destruction.

This is definitely a horror movie. People die - lots of them - in very tragic and gruesome detail that has yielded the film an "R" rating.

This October, Wahlberg can be seen in the crime drama "Max Payne " starring with Mila Kunis, and then next October in the horror thriller "The Lovely Bones" starring Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon.

"Bones" tells the story of a young girl who was brutally raped and murdered, and watches the effects of her death on her family from Heaven. As her parents drift apart, her father becomes obsessed with vengeance and her sister grows into the woman she would never be.

"You Don't Mess With The Zohan" Review And Trailer

In "You Don't Mess With The Zohan", a comedy from screenwriters Adam Sandler, Robert Smigel, and Judd Apatow, Adam Sandler stars as Zohan, an Israeli commando who fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream: becoming a hairstylist in New York. The movie opens June 6. 2008.

"The Zohan" is the most feared fighting commando around, kind of like the "Ninja," and always full of tricks and impossible physical dexterity.

After faking his own death in a furious battle with a Palestinian terrorist named "The Phantom", Zohan moves to New York City to pursue his one true passion - hairstyling. He gets a job at a hair and beauty local salon and lives and operates under the name 'Scrappy Coco', where he becomes an instant sensation with the older female population of New York City.

Scrappy loves his new life until some local Arabs recognize the former Zohan commando and decide to expose him as an imposter.

It's classic Adam Sandler. The movie is full of clever escapes, brutal fights, running and chasing and smash 'em up kind of scenes as "The Zohan" tries to avoid being captured - and having his true identity revealed. One minute he is defeating 5 enemy soldiers and the next he is quietly cutting the hair of an 80-year-old New York socialite. There were lots of penis and pubic hair jokes, but overall this was a great film.

Of course we won't give away any spoilers, but Sandler does save the world and "Zohan" lives happily ever after. "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" is a cut above the normal lunacy and funny voices of Adam Sander and his SNL pals from his earlier movies. Sandler has matured, and so have his movies.

"Swingtown" Hits Home - Watch Cast Interview - Review

Remember the 1970s? Remember the Presidents, the gas shortage, the clothes, the television shows, the music, the food, and the slang - in an era that was much different then today.

A simpler time when some Americans were having sex with anything that moved - the neighbors, the neighbor's friends, the friends neighbor's. The new CBS series, "Swingtown," attempts to rediscover the sexual revolution that hit our country during the '70s.

"We always say the swinging in 'Swingtown' is not just about swinging, it's about the swinging pendulum - the place we were in terms of shifting social customs in the mid-'70s," the show's producer Alan Poul told reporters.

The cast of "Swingtown" probes the relationships of three couples living in the Chicago suburbs in 1976. Grant Show and Lana Parilla play the Deckers, the swingers with the cool house and hip clothes.

Then there are the Millers, played by Jack Davenport and Molly Parker, who are high school sweethearts who had kids early. They move across the street from the Deckers. Astonished, then fascinated and tempted, they open their world to the life of swinging sexual behavior of their new surroundings.

"So come 1976, where we're only in our mid-30s and we've moved into this new neighborhood and as Molly said, you know certain opportunities present themselves and to a greater or lesser extent, they're relatively open to suggestion," said Davenport.

"It's sort of the first time that these people have this opportunity to think about really who they are and what they might want out of their lives," added Parker.

Finally, there is the Thompsons, portrayed by Josh Hopkins and Miriam Shor, whose friends left them behind and so did the sexual revolution.

Shor said her character and her husband have gotten swept up in the swirl of the 1970s.

"Absolutely, because our friend is, and that causes us to question kind of everything about our relationship and ourselves too, but in a hilarious way," she said.

"Swingtown" is loosely based on creator Mike Kelley's life growing up in the outskirts of Chicago during the '70s. A lot of the bric-a-brac from the era around the set belonged to Poul's mother, including molded plastic ashtrays in white or orange, and a Lucite wine caddy - and of course, an ice bucket and bar.

"That was considered very fashionable in my day. My mom would use it to impress company," Poul said.

"So, in that way, I think there's a whole lot of people who will enjoy traveling back and remembering their lives through this show," said Hopkins.

"Transformers 2" Filming Begins - See Plot and Watch Movie Trailer Here

In an apparent effort to overcome the reluctance of screenwriters Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to develop a screenplay for the sequel to their "Transformers" smash hit movie, DreamWorks and Paramount have brought in a third writer, Ehren Kruger, to help lighten their load. But there seems to be another issue at hand for this sequel - Blu-ray or High Definition?

Director Michael Bay refused to direct the movie unless it would be produced in Blu-ray format. Bay has remarked: "I want people to see my movies in the best formats possible. For them to deny people who have Blu-ray sucks!" He vowed not to direct "Transformers 2" if it would not be released in the competing Blu-ray format, which outsells HD DVD by three to one.

However, Bay backtracked, writing, "I overreacted. I heard where Paramount is coming from and the future of HD. ... I like what I heard." Fellow director Steven Spielberg remained unconvinced, balking at the Paramount and DreamWorks deal. A spokesman indicated that his films would continue to be released exclusively in the Blu-ray format, regardless of the studio for which they are made. DreamWorks marketing chief Marvin Levy said Tuesday that Spielberg continues to be a "big supporter of Blu-ray."

"Transformers 2" Plot

The battle for Earth has ended but the battle for the universe has just begun. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible finds out that Megatron's dead body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with then meets the eye.

The film stars Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and adds newcomer Rainn Wilson (The Office) for this round.

Steven Spielberg is the Executive producer and Lorenzo di Bonaventura has producer credits. The movie is Directed by Michael Bay and scheduled for release June 22, 2009.

"The Strangers" A Frightening Film - Review And Movie Trailer

Every now and then a horror film comes along that is different, and manages to scare the life out of you.

So it is with "The Strangers," a creepily distinctive psychological thriller with a firm grasp on the psychological aspect.

The movie was released on Friday. Although horror movies have taken a backseat at the box office these days, audiences will be able to recognize "Strangers" as the real thing.

Apparently inspired by actual events about irrational acts of violence, the movie is set in the secluded South Carolina family vacation home where James (Scott Speedman) was planning to celebrate his engagement to Kristen (Liv Tyler). But it is clear from the nervousness between the couple as they drive up to the house in total darkness that things didn't go as planned.

Once inside, things quickly start going bad as it becomes clear they are not the only ones there. They are not alone.

Like the best of psychological horror in its truest sense, there's always the lasting possibility that the frightening intruders could be creations of their own concealed anger.

Not that it's necessary to go there, since director Bertino delivers first hand the ghastly events with a sickening tension and a bare minimum of guts and blood that has been cleverly displaced by a frighteningly efficient soundtrack. Bertino also has an amazingly animated screamer with Liv Tyler, who tells us much with little or no words. We suspect the soundtrack for this film will be a big hit.

That silent approach also works for Speedman's character as well as for those disturbing masked trespassers identified in the credits by names like Dollface (Gemma Ward), Pin-Up Girl (Laura Margolis) and the breathless Man in the Mask (Kip Weeks).

This is a great first film for director Bertino. We guarantee you will pull into your driveway with a creepy sense of worry when you get home. Once you get inside you will turn on the lights and look around, check the windows, look under the bed - you might even have nightmares. That, my friends, is the true judge of a horror film. If you dream about it - it got you!

Indiana Jones - Shia LaBeouf Is Great - Review And Spoilers

Whether you walked out of "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" loving or hating it, most seem to have something to say about Shia LaBeouf's spectacular role.

The 21-year-old actor portrays Harrison Ford's sidekick in this fourth sequel in the Indiana Jones franchise, and when he first appears on screen, he's spot-on for Marlon Brando's young thug in 1953's "The Wild One."

As young Mutt Williams, Shia LaBeouf is still a radical in search of a cause in Steven Spielberg's latest movie, set in 1957.

"Steven wrote a little note on my script that said, `OK, now it's time to transform yourself into Mutt! Signed, Steven,' and then he gave me three movies to watch," LaBeouf says in the film's production notes. They were: "Blackboard Jungle," "Rebel Without a Cause" and - wouldn't you know it? - "The Wild One."

"As though I was supposed to go home and watch `The Wild One' and go, `Oh yeah, I see how Marlon Brando did it!'" he adds.

It wasn't easy for costume designer Mary Zophres, whose job to come up with LaBeouf's trademark wardrobe of leather jackets and motorcycle boots. She and associate Jenny Eagan found several old jackets and had LaBeouf try them all on until they discovered the one that looked best. Then they had to recreate it several times.

Fans of the former child star, who won a Daytime Emmy in 2003 for the Disney Channel series "Even Stevens," may have a difficult time accepting Shia as a hard-hitting guy. But as LaBeouf said last year in an interview with The Associated Press - when rumors of his casting in "Indiana Jones" were flying but still unconfirmed - this is a role he's been planning for a long time.

"I want to get bigger. I'm sick of being a boy," LaBeouf said then of his workout routine while promoting the teen thriller "Disturbia."

"I know that there's this innocence that I have but I feel like I've played that guy. The whole goal for me has been diversity and diversifying your portfolio and making sure you do a whole bunch of different things and you don't get typecast. If I become a type, my career is over.

"I want to be an intimidating presence. I want to be a ... killer."

(SPOILER ALERT!)
There's still plenty of time for LaBeouf to prove himself. If you read into the symbolism at the end of the movie, Mutt may eventually have to trade in his cap and leather jacket for Indy's famous fedora and bull whip.

Review - Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

So, you're not really sure if you want to go see this movie - right?

Admit it, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull seduced you as soon as you heard that stirring John Williams' theme music again.

Happily, a good script and great set pieces and special effects make this yarn of Soviet spies, strange artifacts and a lost city a commendable sequel to the series.

It's been about twenty years since "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade", and Dr. Henry Jones Jr. is still searching for ancient mysteries, and still fighting the bad guys. Only now, he's traded Nazi spies for Russians, led by Irina Spalko (Cate Blanchett), who want Indy to solve the secret of a crystal skull that guarantees enormous power.

Rather than pretend he hasn't aged a day, the script takes into account Indy's advancement in years. He's not as quick with a whip as he used to be, and the world has changed, too. Dr. Jones finds himself under suspicion by the FBI, despite having saved the world for democracy many times, and his old allies are dead or gone.

Fortunately, he gets a new sidekick, a motorcycle hot shot named Mutt, played by Shia LaBeouf, to help with the heavy lifting. Mutt's mother used to date Indy, and she's gone missing while on the hunt for - you guessed it -the same crystal skull.

He might be older, but once our hero gets out the leather jacket and fedora, Indy proves he's still the best there is at escaping bullets, death traps, and flesh eating insects.

Calista Flockhart And Harrison Ford To Get Married?

Even Calista Flockhart, who has been in a long-term relationship with Harrison Ford, maintains she has not seen her hubbies "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull," which is this year's most-awaited film.

In a press outing for her television series, "Brothers & Sisters," Calista laughed when a reporter joked that she and Ford make a romantic couple. "Yeah" giggled the star, who is popular as televisions Ally McBeal.

There are unconfirmed reports that Calista and Harrison, who met at the 2002 Golden Globe Awards, will marry this year.

What is sure is that Calista walked down the red carpet with Harrison in the hottest event at the Cannes Film Festival. "We love Cannes," Flockhart said. "It is always fun."

Harrison Ford, 65, recently paid homage to Calista, 43, by calling her the best mom in the world.

The actress has an adopted son, Liam. She's a mother by choice; she adopted Liam before she met Harrison Ford, as a single parent, which is a tremendous responsibility to take on. She's devoted herself to Liam and has done a really wonderful job raising him. "I'm happy to now have a part of the job", said Ford.

The returning Indiana Jones star added that helping raise a child "made me just a bit less self-centered."

You can see the new Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull in theaters now.

Review: Indiana Jones - Kingdom of the Crystal Skull

Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull (PG-13).

Indiana Jones returns to combat a group of evil Russians hunting for a lost artifact with psychic powers. Starring Harrison Ford, Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen

There are two ways to manage a film franchise. One is to continually reinvent and update it, which has worked pretty well for James Bond. The other method is to simply stick with what worked the first time.

That's what director Steven Spielberg and creator-producer George Lucas have done with "Raiders of the Lost Ark," their 1981 adventure classic. There's no bringing back Ark's guiltless magic, so the filmmakers, through two sequels - 1984's "Temple of Doom" and 1989's "The Last Crusade" - basically revised the original while taking care not to tarnish our memories of it. "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" manages the same balancing act, though with some major problems as normal.

All the necessary ingredients are here: ancient riddles, rumbling stones, a precious artifact with supernatural powers, and Harrison Ford as Indiana Jones - still fashionable in his leather bomber jacket. But now it's 2008, Jones is grayer and creakier, and the villains are Cold War Russians. (Cate Blanchett acts as their leader, a Stalinist she-devil wrapped in a military body suit.) Karen Allen returns as Marion, Indiana's tomboyish lover, now the mother of a rebellious teenager, Mutt Williams played by Shia LaBeouf.

The film is fast moving, fun and occasionally inventive. But its success rides almost entirely on Harrison Ford, who lightens up the action - always questionable, frequently funny - with physical humor and magnetism. He wears the role so naturally that his supporting actors often seem to be faking it. And speaking of fake: The disappointing crystal skull of the title, a clear shell with some flashing lights in the cranium, resembles a novelty phone.

The film hints that another sequel might come our way. If so, more of the same will probably work fine, but a reinvention might be in order.

Iron Man Explodes - New "Avengers Movie" In The Works?

When wealthy industrialist Tony Stark is forced to build an armored suit after a life-threatening incident, he ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil.

The first batch of reviews for the movie "Iron Man" have been published - and they are very, very good! Robert Downey Jr. is not bad. We also hear there is an extra scene after the credits that is worth looking for.

With "Iron Man" exploding in the theaters this weekend, the next question for producers at Marvel Entertainment is: What's next?

The studio's next project is expected to be announced on an earnings call Monday, with "Avengers", "Nick Fury", "Ant Man", "Captain America" and "Thor" among the favorites.

Brad Grey, head honcho over at Paramount, told Entertainment Tonight that if all went as hoped with Iron Man, the sequel would come out in May 2010.

We hope it's an "Avengers Movie" or an "Iron Man 2" sequel. We also hear that Samuel L. Jackson is involved. What will be next from "Marvel Movies"?

Jack Black Opens In "Be Kind Rewind"……

Jack is back. Jack Black opens in his new movie, "Be Kind Rewind" on February 22nd. It looks like this could be a funny, easy to watch flick. Here is the Synopsis:

Jerry (Jack Black) is a junkyard worker who attempts to sabotage a power plant he suspects of causing his headaches. But he inadvertently causes his brain to become magnetized, leading to the unintentional destruction of all the movies in his friend's (Mos Def) store. In order to keep the store's one loyal customer, an elderly lady with a tenuous grasp on reality, the pair re-create a long line of films including The Lion King, Rush Hour, Ghostbusters, When We Were Kings, Back to the Future, Driving Miss Daisy, and Robocop , putting themselves and their townspeople into it.

They become the biggest stars in their neighborhood.

When customers ask why the movies look different than they remember, Jerry and Mike tell them that these are the Swedish import versions - and, eventually, "sweding" (pronounced SWEE-ding) becomes part of the neighborhood's vocabulary, the joke being that the customers prefer the "sweded" versions because they're only about 20 minutes long and easy to understand.

Okay, so it's not rocket science or an international spy thriller. But every now and then we just need to watch a movie like this - and laugh, just because it's funny…

“Jumper” Seems To Be Headed For A Bad Start This Weekend…..

This flick, based on a young adult novel by Steven Gould and directed by Doug Liman ("The Bourne Identity"), is about young David Rice (Hayden Christopher), who has the ability to instantly teleport himself to anywhere in the world. The movie also stars big shot Samuel L. Jackson as the "anti-jumper" fanatic, with strange white hair that just doesn't seem to fit the role…. Or Jackson.

This flick must be bad if Eminem "jumped" from it. Its been reported that he was originally set to play the role of David Rice before Hayden Christopher ("Star Wars") stepped in. This should tell you something. In fact, the part was first offered to Eminem, who turned it down, and Christensen was a last-minute replacement for Tom Sturridge, who was let go two weeks before filming was to begin.

Every review we've read from the early screenings points to a very bad open this weekend. Lots of very bad things are being said. We hope we're wrong. We'll let you know next week if we were right. The ending, by the way, is clearly intended to set up a sequel. You can't be serious.
